Job Summary

Operate pharmacy workstations to fulfill prescriptions safely and accurately, managing production, pick-up, and drive-thru workflows while following Standard Operating Procedures. Assist the pharmacy team by counseling patients, fielding medical questions, and offering immunizations and other health services, ensuring prompt and caring service that exceeds expectations. Complete a comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences, including inventory activities like cycle counts and returns-to-stocks, and provide in-the-moment coaching to team members. Maintain highest levels of self-awareness, compliance with federal and state laws, and patient privacy while remaining flexible for scheduling needs and business demands.

Required Qualifications

  • Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
  • Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and/or exert up to 20 lbs. of force
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 10 lbs and/or exert up to 10 lbs. of force
  • Must be able to consistently lift and/or exert a negligible amount of force to move objects
  • Must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspection involving small parts

  • Must be able to offer to counsel, fielding medical questions, and solicit information on a patient's medical history to provide optimal care, when appropriate under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Must be able to take telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber, and call the prescriber to clarify prescriptions or facilitate medication changes, where allowed by state regulation
  • Must be able to complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories, etc.
