Job Summary
Pharmacy intern role under supervision of a licensed pharmacist focused on patient safety, pharmacy operations, and patient care programs. The intern will contribute to delivering exceptional care by engaging in activities such as patient safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, inventory and workflow management, and customer service. The position emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and continuous growth, with responsibilities including supporting immunization eligibility where applicable, and meeting state guidelines for required training and licensure. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work nights and weekends, and physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods. This is a part-time opportunity designed for individuals currently accepted into or enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to attend nights and weekends
- Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
- Finger Dexterity and manual handling capabilities
- Visual acuity for clerical and patient care tasks
