Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health engaged in hands-on pharmacy operations within retail locations. You will support pharmacy teams to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and timely while delivering compassionate, patient-centered service. You’ll follow SOPs, assist with immunizations where permissible, counsel patients when appropriate, handle telephonic prescriptions under supervision, contribute to inventory activities, and participate in a comprehensive training roadmap (KLEs) designed to build clinical and technical knowledge. The role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and continuous learning, with flexibility to travel to stores across the market as needed to meet business needs. This part-time internship requires enrollment in a ACPE-accredited pharmacy program and intern/technician licensure as required by state regulations, with regular attendance including nights and weekends, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Customer Service and Team Orientation
- Effective Communication Skills
- Ability to concentrate and pivot between tasks
- Mathematical Reasoning to ensure accurate dispensing and patient calculations
- Physical stamina for extended active work in a pharmacy setting
- Ability to travel to stores in the market if needed by business (flexible scheduling)
