Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern role in a CVS Health environment, supporting the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory and workflow management, and participation in patient care programs to improve access and outcomes. Emphasis on teamwork, empathy, ongoing learning, and delivering compassionate care to patients. Part-time position with benefits; immunization eligibility is a preferred qualification. Must be enrolled in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program and obtain any required state licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Lift, scan, and bag items
- Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
- Reach overhead; able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
- Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
- Stoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items
- Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
- Able to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently
- Ability To: Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
- Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines
