Job Summary
Maintain proper inventory levels by submitting online orders, adjusting quantities, and assisting with physical inventories. File written prescriptions daily, enter patient data and insurance information, and process medical expense reports. Welcome and acknowledge patients at all entry points, model excellent patient care by processing orders in person and by phone, and finalize sales using established cash register procedures. Review service and business metrics to assist the team on action plans, alert pharmacists for drug utilization reviews, and resolve third-party rejections. Comply with all Giant Eagle policies including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine regulations while ensuring proper documentation for insurance transmission.
Required Qualifications
- 0 to 6 months experience
- High school degree or equivalent
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program
- Pharmacy certification
- Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

- Ability to call and resolve third party rejections and rebilling claims
- Ability to enter and process refills
- Ability to add patients to Refills on Time Program
- Ability to process medical expense reports
- Ability to contribute to company initiatives and programs
