Job Summary
Pick medications from storage racks, scan, label, and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification. Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently, assist in processing returned drugs, and pre-pack frequently ordered medications during low-volume times. Maintain a clean, organized workstation, replenish supplies, and alert the pharmacist of scanning errors. Adhere to all safety policies, HIPAA regulations, and departmental attendance requirements. Shift runs 6:00am to 2:30pm with rotating weekends; overtime and holidays may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of brand name/generic medications
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Able to work at a moderate speed
- Able to work during inclement weather
- Reliable
- Detail-focused with analytical problem-solving skills
- Able to physically perform light lifting
- Must be able to work various shifts and day
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice
- Must be able to work extended hours as needed
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to work during inclement weather

Desired Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
