Job Summary
Pharmacy Executive will collaborate with client hospitals and Vizient business units to optimize pharmacy enterprise solution services between Vizient and the clients we serve. You will generate new consulting offerings, develop relationships with hospital executives, administrators, clinicians, pharmacy leaders, key opinion leaders, and internal Vizient business groups to synthesize and identify targets of opportunity to enhance the value of the pharmacy enterprise. Responsibilities include consulting with pharmacists to develop and implement clinical pharmacy programs that reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality of care, analyzing pharmaceutical purchases, conducting prescriber interviews, maximizing market share and product standardization, implementing therapeutic interchange programs (including IV to oral conversions), facilitating formulary management changes, maintaining standardized documents and tools, evaluating requests for formulary additions, developing protocols and order sets, and delivering communications to health system senior executives. The role requires leveraging evidence-based literature, regulatory standards, data analysis, and leading practices to develop strategic operating plans for value, efficiency, and service excellence. A Pharmacy degree is required; PharmD is preferred; 7+ years of leadership in health system/hospital pharmacy; travel opportunities; Vizient offers comprehensive benefits and a salary range of $135,200 to $236,600 with incentive eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- A Pharmacy degree is required
- PharmD preferred
- Master’s degree in business is a plus
- 7 or more years of Health System and/or Hospital Pharmacy Leadership experience required
- Experience with 340B is preferred
- Experience with Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities is preferred
- Board of Pharmacy registration is required and have completed a pharmacy residency (ASHP approved residency) preferred
- Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables
