Job Summary
Pharmacy dispenser supporting the supply of CBPM in a specialist Private pharmacy, working alongside specialist Clinical Pharmacists to improve access to cannabis-based medicines. Key responsibilities include receiving and validating prescriptions for clinical check, processing patient information, supporting the Responsible Pharmacist & Technicians in daily operations, acting as the first point of contact for queries, maintaining records and stock for CBPM, communicating prescriptions to the Department of Health to meet regulatory requirements, and supporting governance to ensure safe pharmacy operations.
Required Qualifications
- A UK qualified Pharmacy dispenser
- Experience in working in the pharmacy dispensary (primary and/or secondary environment)
- Excellent communication skills with staff, patients and other healthcare professionals
- Excellent computer literacy with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated with high attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Able to remain calm during stressful situations
- CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational programme (preferred)
