Job Summary
Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Clerk assists in labeling and filling prescriptions, manages patient interactions for dropping off and picking up prescriptions, enters prescriptions into the computer, verifies prescription accuracy, schedules workflow, and handles medication ordering and billing. Responsibilities also include maintaining inventories, assisting in both outpatient and inpatient dispensing, and ensuring customer service excellence through strong communication and mathematical skills. The role requires dexterity, lifting ability, and standing for extended periods.
