Job Summary
Assist pharmacy staff in triaging incoming prescriptions, verifying patient information including allergies and insurance details, and assessing workload to establish pick-up times. Deliver filled prescriptions to patients while obtaining signatures and perform cash register duties within the Pharmacy Department. Provide quality customer service, maintain confidentiality regarding all patient information, and complete mandatory regulatory training programs. Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a professional environment, including replenishing dispensing containers and supplies. Works under direct supervision of a pharmacist following standard procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED
- AS Degree or Higher Required
- Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician
- Must keep current with all State and Federal requirements as related to conditions of employment
- Drug test
- Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
- Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position
