Job Summary
Greet customers with a smile, answer telephone inquiries, and process cash transactions accurately. Assist with stock and order supplies, review prescriptions, and prepare paperwork for delivery orders and mail-outs. Administer vaccines where certified, clean the pharmacy, and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Coordinate nursing home medicines and work as a team to ensure a pleasant environment. This fast-paced pharmacy role involves daily exposure to noise and occasional hazardous chemicals, with training provided for safety.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18+
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Over six months up to one year of similar or related experience
- Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law
- Ability to frequently stand and walk throughout a shift in the pharmacy and dispensing area, including extended periods at a pharmacy counter or workstation while filling and processing prescriptions
- Ability to count, pour, package, and label medications, and fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, in accordance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and sharps (needles, lancets) associated with pharmacy operations, and where certified, immunization administration
- Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen

- Ability to handle occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals or solvents during compounding, including chemotherapy drugs
