Job Summary
Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care by greeting customers, answering calls, and entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under supervision. Accurately count, measure, and package medications, receive and stock shipments, monitor inventory levels, and rotate stock while maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy area. Perform clerical tasks including filing, faxing, scanning, and assisting with insurance claims and prescription transfers. This 12-month full-time role requires 32 to 40 hours per week with flexible evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Occasional lifting of boxes/containers
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy with a preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business
- Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry
- Completion of a pharmacy assistant program
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
