Job Summary
Greet patients and verify prescription accuracy before dispensing medications. Perform data entry for patient care information and handle third-party adjudications when necessary. Manage OTC inquiries, refer complex cases to pharmacists, and process customer prescription pickups. Maintain pharmacy stock levels using inventory control systems. Work a variety of hours including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Candidates must be 18 years or older and complete a criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Proficient computer/data/entry skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours which may include days, evenings, night shifts and weekends
- Candidates who are 18 years or older are required to complete a criminal background check
