Job Summary
The Pharmacy Assistant position at Calgary Co-op involves assisting the Pharmacy manager with technical aspects of dispensing prescriptions and administrative duties to enhance patient care. Responsibilities include following customer service standards, interacting positively with customers, assisting in pharmacy operations, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean workspace. The role requires a Grade 12 education or equivalent, passing the Calgary Co-op Pharmacy Assistant test, and preferred completion of a recognized Pharmacy Assistant Program. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 education or acceptable combination of experience and education
- Pass the Calgary Co-op Pharmacy Assistant test
Desired Qualifications
- Completed a recognized Pharmacy Assistant Program (preferred)
- Two (2) years of dispensing experience (desirable)
