Pharmacy Advocate Technician

Job Summary
Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist prior to receiving certification. Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems, prepare orders and maintain inventory, and handle sterile and non-sterile compounds. Repackage bulk medications, receive and store incoming supplies, and triage incoming calls to serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patients, and health professionals. This role requires PTCB or Florida Board of Pharmacy licensure and operates on a PRN rotating schedule at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola in the Inpatient Pharmacy Pediatrics department.
Required Qualifications
- One or more of the following required: Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience.
- Associate's degree/Technical degree.
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
