Job Summary

Establish safe, compliant sterile compounding operations under USP <797> and USP <800> requirements by developing standard operating procedures, batch records, and quality documentation. Oversee aseptic technique, environmental monitoring, and contamination control while participating in deviation investigations, corrective actions, and continuous quality improvement. Evaluate cleanroom layouts, equipment, and workflows to support staffing, inventory, and production plans, then help recruit and train pharmacy personnel for a controlled launch. Assist with Missouri pharmacy licensing, inspection readiness, and multi-state expansion strategy to build repeatable systems for future locations.

Required Qualifications

  • PharmD, BSPharm, or equivalent degree from an accredited school or college of pharmacy
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in at least one U.S. state
  • Missouri pharmacist license or ability to obtain one before beginning on-site pharmacy work
  • Direct experience working in a 503A sterile compounding pharmacy
  • Strong working knowledge of USP <797> and applicable USP <800> requirements
  • Practical experience with aseptic technique, sterile workflows, documentation, and quality-control procedures
  • Experience following or helping improve sterile compounding SOPs and quality systems
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, communication, and professional judgment
  • Willingness to work on-site in the Greater St. Louis or St. Charles County area

Desired Qualifications

  • Leading, supervising, or training sterile compounding personnel
  • Preparing for pharmacy inspections, audits, or regulatory reviews
  • Developing or improving a pharmacy Quality Management System
  • Multi-state nonresident pharmacy licensing
  • Holding pharmacist licenses in multiple states
  • Cleanroom certification, commissioning, qualification, or operational planning
  • Missouri Class H pharmacy experience
  • Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist certification
  • Scaling sterile production or improving pharmacy workflows
  • Pharmacy startup or new-location launch experience
  • Automation, software, or pharmacy-technology implementation
  • Prior PIC experience and prior experience opening a sterile pharmacy
