Job Summary
Prepare, dispense, and deliver medications and IV admixtures to nursing service by verifying orders and checking technician work. Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants while maintaining inventory and populating wholesaler orders. Clinically review physician orders for dosing, drug interactions, and lab results, adjusting therapy for renal or hepatic function as needed. Educate patients, staff, and the public on medication use and respond to inquiries from healthcare workers. Record and investigate adverse drug reactions while participating in continuing education to maintain licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Washington State DOH Pharmacist License
- Current BLS HCP
- Must communicate effectively in both oral and written format
- Must organize and plan work efficiently
- Must demonstrate good judgment and supervisory skills
- Must work well with other people in a team environment

- Two years of hospital experience
