Job Summary
Staff Pharmacist oversees the centralized pharmacy and decentralized dispensary model across multiple Los Angeles locations, manages workflows, space and systems to meet operational requirements, and trains/ supervises Pharmacy Technicians and PAP Clerks. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory of prescription drugs, biologicals, and non-prescription items; entering prescription orders into pharmacy software; making generic substitutions per protocols; ensuring QA on filled orders; counseling patients on new prescriptions and providing educational materials; collaborating with Clinic Directors/Managers to implement policies for secure drug storage; and ensuring compliance with the 340b Drug Pricing Program and HRSA rules. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist in California
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy
- Experience with pharmacy management systems
