Job Summary

The Clinical Staff Pharmacist role provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients and the healthcare team, including medication order evaluation and verification, drug distribution, sterile and extemporaneous compounding, technician supervision, clinical interventions, formulary management, and serving as a resource for nursing and physician medication-related inquiries. The pharmacist communicates and collaborates with patients and multidisciplinary staff to optimize medication use across neonatal through geriatric patient populations, participates in drug therapy management, and supports operational and scholarly activities within the hospital pharmacy setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy (required)
  • Licensure: Licensed or license eligible as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (required)
  • Certification: Current board certification by Board of Pharmacy Specialties® (preferred)
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support or must obtain within 90 days from date of hire (required)
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as determined by pharmacy leadership (required)
