Job Summary
Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, evaluate drug interactions and side effects, and compound medications using standard formulas. Direct labeling, packaging, and mixing operations while maintaining quality assurance and security for controlled substances. Process customer prescriptions, collect payments, file insurance claims, and monitor inventory levels across pharmacy and OTC sections. Administer vaccinations, manage drug utilization reviews, and remove outdated stock. Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, company policies, and all laws governing pharmaceutical dispensing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university of Pharmacy
- active state pharmacist license in good standing
- Vaccination certified
- ability to understand, interpret, and apply an extensive array of information, variables, and instruction
- proficiency and productivity in a fast paced environment with unscheduled interruptions
- good organization, time management, and communication skills
- ability to foster professional working relationships utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills
