Job Summary
Fill prescriptions, verify doctor information, and safely educate patients on medications while maintaining perpetual Schedule II and Suboxone inventory. Perform final audits on prescriptions filled by technicians, answer regular doctor phone lines, and process pharmacy sales including refunds and checks. Supervise ancillary personnel, interns, and technicians; complete incident reports for prescription errors within 24 hours. Maintain a clean and professional pharmacy, manage inventory counts, and assist with marketing and promoting pharmacy operations. Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding mandatory consultations and store policies.
Required Qualifications
- Pharm D degree from an American Colleges of Pharmacy (ACPE) accredited school
- 2 years in retail pharmacy setting
- Pharmacist License issued in the state of Maryland
Desired Qualifications
- experience in an FQHC setting preferred but not required
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification (Preferred, or within 12 months of employment)
