Job Summary
Review and verify medication orders, adjust dosing based on protocols and patient variables, and prepare sterile IV admixtures per USP <797> standards. Provide drug information and clinical support to medical and nursing teams while managing controlled substance documentation and reconciliation. Support medication distribution workflows and participate in medication-use evaluations, monograph development, and clinical pathways. Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and patient-centered care during overnight shifts in an acute-care setting serving the Live Oak region.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy or PharmD)
- Active Florida Pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain
- Strong critical-thinking skills with the ability to function independently on overnight shifts
- Comfort with autonomy, critical-care decision support, and a patient-focused approach
Desired Qualifications
- Hospital pharmacy or clinical residency preferred
- Board certification a plus
