Job Summary
Organize and supervise In-Patient Pharmacy Services, including staff pharmacists, interns, technicians, and clerks, in compliance with California law and pharmacy practice standards. Evaluate, process, distribute, and dispense physician orders, including unit dose and IV admixture services. Coordinate, manage, and update IV admixture policies while implementing drug management strategies for shortages. Supervise departmental personnel, complete performance reviews, and assist with quality assurance monitoring, data collection, and annual budget development. Troubleshoot pharmacy equipment and software, and provide pharmaceutical data to nursing and medical staff regarding drug availability, warnings, and contraindications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of school of pharmacy
- Pharmacist license in the state of practice
- All licensures and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required of a Pharmacist at the state level
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Two years' technical experience
- Two years' hospital pharmacy experience
- Leadership experience
