Job Summary
Pharmacist needed to oversee efficient, ethical dispensing of prescription pharmaceuticals, provide medication counseling, supervise pharmacy technicians/interns, manage inventory and records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include receiving and filling prescriptions, dispensing medications, advising customers on dosage, drug interactions and storage, maintaining inventory and records, leading staff, implementing pharmacy programs (security, immunizations, clinical programs), and ensuring adherence to federal/state regulations. Requires a Bachelor's in Pharmacy or related field, state license in good standing, and at least three years of experience; Doctorate preferred. Immunization certification is a plus; bilingual skills helpful. The role supports a part-time schedule and may involve travel in some contexts; physical requirements typical of a retail pharmacy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field (Required)
- Pharmacy License in good standing in the state of operation
- Three years experience in pharmaceutical department
- Immunization Certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, pharmacy laws, rules, and guidelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service skills
