Pharmacist - Retail Supplemental

Pharmacist in an outpatient dispensing setting providing services to eligible patients, including order entry, insurance billing, dispensing, compounding, patient counseling, immunizations, and MTM, with duties spanning pharmacotherapy design, education, and safety. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (ASHP, ACHC, OSHA, ISBOP, ISDOH, FDA, DEA, USP, EPA), participating in quality improvement, providing pharmacokinetic dosing and anticoagulation services, performing medication reconciliation, and contributing to staff education and development. The role emphasizes clinical pharmacotherapy alongside dispensing, with use of the EPIC system, and may involve precepting staff or students, contributing to departmental newsletters or presentations, and supporting community programs. Certifications in CPR required for clinicians; specialty certifications (BCPS, BCOP, BCACP, CACP) are preferred or pursued within defined timelines.
