Job Summary
Retail Pharmacist responsible for dispensing and supervising both prescription and non-prescription medications in a retail setting. Responsibilities include entering, filling, and checking patient orders; counseling patients on medications; supervising preparation and storage of medicines; ensuring regulatory compliance; collaboration with healthcare professionals; inventory management; and overseeing day-to-day pharmacy operations. Requires Illinois pharmacist license, degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology, proficiency with pharmacy systems (e.g., RX30, CPSI), and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Availability to work 1-2 days per week with PTO/sick-day coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist in the State of Illinois or eligible to become licensed in Illinois
- Proven experience as a pharmacist
- Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology
- Valid license to practice the profession
- Availability to work 1 to 2 days per week & available to cover full-time pharmacist PTO requests and/or sick days
- Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands etc.
