Pharmacist (Quarry Park)

Job Summary
The Pharmacist is responsible for filling prescriptions, providing patient care, and offering consultation on medication usage. Duties include evaluating prescriptions for appropriateness, maintaining patient confidentiality, administering injections and vaccinations, and supervising pharmacy technicians. Knowledge of pharmacy operations, inventory management, compliance with governmental regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service is vital. Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and be licensed with Alberta College of Pharmacists, with a strong emphasis on superior patient relations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc. Pharm)
- Licensed and registered with Alberta College of Pharmacists
- Authorization to Administer Medications by Injection
- Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) - must obtain within one year of start date
Desired Qualifications
- Previous retail pharmacy experience (desirable)
Additional Requirements
- Pharmacists working in the dispensary must obtain APA designation within two years for new grads
