Job Summary
Maintain drug stock par levels, monitor patient medication profiles for interactions, and ensure accurate refilling of prescriptions while encouraging generic formulary usage. Interpret physicians' medication orders, provide drug information to healthcare providers and patients, and supervise pharmacy technicians to assure services meet specific standards. Prepare special medications using aseptic techniques and assist in training interns, residents, and students on pharmacy policies and procedures. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of B.S. in Pharmacy
- Previous community pharmacy supervisory or managerial experience
- Be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
- Pharmacists must be a graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university
- Must be licensed for controlled substances
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills with coworkers and staff
- Have basic typing skills, PC computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office
- Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently under the authority of U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d)
- Able to sit/stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours)
- Being able to lift totes weighing up to 30 pounds repetitively
- Work M-F between the 6a-6p
- Varying days and shifts available
