Job Summary
Pharmacist PRN at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta providing safe, efficacious medication therapy for pediatric patients. Responsibilities include reviewing physician orders, dispensing medications, providing drug information to healthcare professionals and families, supervising in charge areas, and precepting new employees and residents. Works with multidisciplinary teams to ensure rational, cost-effective drug therapy across Neonate to Adult age groups; adheres to state/federal laws and hospital policies; supports continuous quality improvement and patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD (or equivalent experience) and graduation from an accredited pharmacy school
- Georgia licensed pharmacist or eligible
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
- 1 year of experience in a hospital pharmacy
