Job Summary
Pharmacist needed as PRN (as needed) to provide pharmaceutical services at a Federally Qualified Health Center. Responsibilities include processing prescription orders, communicating with physicians on drug therapy, conducting Drug Utilization Review (DUR), providing patient counseling, managing formulary programs (including prior authorization), and ensuring compliance with DEA/state board requirements. Roles available include full-time, part-time, and PRN/per-need slots in a clinical setting with exposure to a range of disease states and patient populations. Must be licensed to practice in Michigan; recent graduates with internship/residency experience considered; retail/community pharmacy experience preferred; strong communication skills for collaboration with providers; EMR knowledge and ongoing professional development are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice in the State of Michigan
- Recent college graduate eligible if Internship or Residency completed
- Experience in retail/community practice preferred
- Comfortable discussing drug therapies with providers
- Willing to maintain and acquire professional skills via continuing education
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional materials and regulations
- Ability to write reports and procedures
- Ability to present information to managers and customers
- Problem-solving in varying environments
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
