Pharmacist - Pharmacy Warehouse

Job Summary

Provide pharmacist-level operational guidance and support to clinical staff regarding Class D pharmacy operations, floor stock, and centralized warehouse services. Conduct monthly onsite inspections of CommUnityCare and City of Austin clinics to ensure policy compliance and assist with formulary development for the clinics. Maintain safe work environments by establishing standards, supporting legal operations, and ensuring adherence to state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations. Lead the Pharmacy Warehouse team through training, workflow coordination, and software optimization using systems like CAMIT and EPIC. Analyze processes for continuous improvement, provide operational feedback, and represent the warehouse in multidisciplinary committees. Develop internal partnerships with clinical managers and business staff while championing initiatives that enhance patient access to clinic stock medications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (higher degree accepted) in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy)
  • 3 years either retail (community), mail order, hospital, or clinic (Class D) pharmacy
  • Registered Pharmacist in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
  • Current Health Care Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification through American Heart Association
  • Texas Class "C" Driver's License
  • Proof of automobile liability insurance coverage on personal vehicle utilized for work related purposes

Desired Qualifications

  • Doctoral or Professional Degree Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • 3 years Class D pharmacy experience
