Job Summary
Conduct drug therapy review, monitoring, preparation, dispensing, and counseling for outpatient and retail pharmacy operations in compliance with departmental policies and state/federal regulations. Complete Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance checks, supervise Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants, and build script growth through clinical programs including immunizations and Medication Therapy Management. Provide healthcare counseling to customers, resolve complaints, and interact with physicians to address prescription issues while managing inventory and will-calls. Maintain an active Washington State Pharmacist License and adhere to all regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Pharmacy Degree in Pharmacy or of higher qualifications
- Must meet state requirements for Pharmacist
- Active Washington State Pharmacist License
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Adequate computer competency
- Knowledge pharmacy regulations as applicable to the job
- Demonstrates the ability to adhere to the mission, ethics and goals of the District
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate with patients, guests and staff in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner
- Employment eligibility verification as required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
