Job Summary
Pharmacist Per Diem responsible for dispensing medications, verifying prescriptions, inventory management, supervising pharmacy technicians and clerks, providing drug information, participating in staff and planning meetings, and performing other duties as directed by the Pharmacist Manager or Director of Pharmacy. Requires California pharmacist licensure, BS in Pharmacy, HIV Pharmacist credentialing within 1 year of hire, and at least 1 year of retail or ambulatory clinic pharmacy experience. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong communication and computer skills; experience serving LGBTQ patients encouraged. Per diem relief/on-call schedule in Los Angeles, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Current licensure (unrestricted) to practice pharmacy in the State of California
- Credentialing as an HIV Pharmacist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) required within 1 year of hire
- Minimum of one year of previous retail or ambulatory clinic pharmacy experience
- Knowledge of LGBTQ community issues or experience working with LGBTQ populations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual skills a plus (English/Spanish preferred)
- Strong computer skills (word processing, databases, spreadsheets, software systems)
- Ability to work with diverse populations in a multicultural environment
