Job Summary
Process compliant prescriptions, validate accuracy, and maintain a secure pharmacy/warehouse environment. Set business direction, allocate resources, and resolve systematic issues through analysis and communication with veterinarians and sales teams. Mentor staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage workload distribution while ensuring regulatory adherence. No weekends, evenings, or holidays; part-time schedule. Requires current Board of Pharmacy license and veterinary pharmacy background preferred. Patterson supports the Animal Health business with a people-first culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Good computer skills with various applications
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience
- Attention to detail with ability to problem solve effectively
- Demonstrated success in prioritizing and time-management
- Superior service-orientation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and an independent, accountable, dependent performer
- Current state Board of Pharmacy license with the ability to obtain reciprocal licenses in other states
- Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English
- Must be able to move product weighing up to 50 pounds onto conveyor belt up to 10 times per hour
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time
- Must be able to operate a keyboard and other machinery as necessary
- This position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience
- Background in veterinary pharmacy
