Job Summary
Prepare, compound, and formulate customized medications including sterile injections, ophthalmic preparations, and topical formulations while adhering to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards. Perform quality checks, document records, and ensure regulatory compliance with FDA, DEA, and Utah Board of Pharmacy requirements. Collaborate with prescribers to develop therapies and communicate with patients and healthcare providers regarding treatment options. Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accuracy and patient safety during compounding operations. Maintain a clean, organized environment and support general pharmacy functions. Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN positions available with competitive compensation and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Active Utah pharmacist license in good standing
- Working knowledge of pharmacy compounding regulations and standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a pharmacy team
- Professional, dependable, and adaptable approach to pharmacy practice
Desired Qualifications
- Previous compounding experience preferred (but not required), including sterile and/or non-sterile compounding
- Familiarity with USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> preferred
