Job Summary
Provides pharmaceutical services in a federally qualified health center; duties include processing prescriptions, physician communications regarding drug therapy, Drug Utilization Review, patient counseling, formulary management, therapeutic interchanges, prior authorization reviews, and adherence to DEA/state board requirements. Part-time, PRN positions available; clinical setting with exposure to patients and healthcare staff; must be able to discuss drug therapies, read/write reports, and adapt to varying workloads. Requires Michigan pharmacy license; internship/residency considered; familiarity with EMR and pharmacy operations in a clinic environment. Physical demands include standing/walking 80%+ with ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist in Michigan
- Experience in retail/community practice preferred
- Comfort discussing drug therapies with providers
- Willingness to maintain/learn through continuing education
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
