Job Summary
Prepare and compound customized medications, including sterile and non-sterile formulations such as injections, ophthalmic preparations, and topical products, while adhering to USP standards and FDA regulations. Perform quality assurance checks, document compounding records, and verify ingredients to ensure safety and accuracy. Collaborate with prescribers to develop therapies and communicate with patients and healthcare providers regarding treatment options. Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain proper procedures and a clean, organized environment. Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Active Utah pharmacist license in good standing
- Working knowledge of pharmacy compounding regulations and standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a pharmacy team
- Professional, dependable, and adaptable approach to pharmacy practice
Desired Qualifications
- Previous compounding experience preferred (but not required), including sterile and/or non-sterile compounding
- Familiarity with USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> preferred
