Job Summary
Provide pharmaceutical care services to Parkview Health patients by overseeing, monitoring, preparing, and dispensing medication therapy while documenting all processes. Advise physicians on drug usage and control within assigned hospital and outpatient locations, offering drug and patient information. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations affecting the Pharmacy. Maintain oversight of information and dispensing processes and systems. Requires a B.S. in Pharmacy, Pharm.D., and current state licensure. One to two years of hospital pharmacist experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a B. S. degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy
- Must be eligible for or hold a valid and current license as a Registered Pharmacist from the State Board of Pharmacy where services will be provided
- Must obtain this State licensure within 180 days
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- A Pharm. D. degree and/or PGY1Residency
- One to two years hospital pharmacist experience
