Job Summary
Compounds, prepares, mixes, manufactures, and dispenses medicines while monitoring drug therapies and troubleshooting medication safety hazards. Processes, enters, verifies, and sends medication orders in compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory guidelines to ensure safe, cost-effective therapeutic outcomes. Conducts medication utilization reports to identify areas for improvement and performs quality assurance procedures. Manages lower-level technicians and participates in pharmacy-related programs, cost savings initiatives, and process improvement efforts. Collaborates with leadership to procure medications based on safety standards. Requires a pharmacy school graduate, active state license, and all necessary certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of school of pharmacy
- Pharmacist license in the state of practice
- All licensures and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required of a Pharmacist at the state level
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment
