Job Summary
Disperse chemotherapy and infusion medications to patients while interpreting physician orders, entering data into the EMR, and verifying technician activity. Monitor drug therapy, counsel patients and healthcare teams on medication information, and resolve drug-related problems through consultation with providers. Oversee pharmacy assistants and technicians, manage inventory and controlled substance controls, and handle customer service issues independently. Interpret medication orders for interactions and appropriateness, apply package labeling, and document clinical interventions per policy. This role requires a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy with two years of oncology experience and involves working within Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's outpatient oncology pharmacy network across the Puget Sound region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Of Science Bachelor of Science or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
- 2 years of oncology or infusion pharmacy experience
- 5 years of experience in Pharmacy in lieu of Board Certification
