Job Summary
Disperse chemotherapy and infusion medications to patients while performing IV admixture, order entry, and stock control. Provide patient counseling, drug therapy monitoring, and education on medication information to ensure safe, cost-effective care. Interpret physician orders, verify drug interactions, and clarify unclear prescriptions with licensed providers. Oversee pharmacy assistants and technicians, manage inventory and insurance billing, and resolve drug-related problems through consultation with healthcare professionals. Document clinical activities and participate in staff training and orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Of Science Bachelor of Science or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
- 2 years of oncology or infusion pharmacy experience
- 5 years of experience in Pharmacy in lieu of Board Certification
