Job Summary
Conduct pharmacy practice services by serving as a resource to medical providers regarding proper prescription review and patient profiles. Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, and allergies while dispensing, selecting, and preserving therapeutic agents. Maintain patient medication records, inspect drugs for storage adequacy and rotation, and report adverse drug reactions. Provide drug information to staff on compatibility, mode of action, and latest field developments. Review medication orders through individual consultations and medical record analysis. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, DEA, FDA, and Bureau of Prisons guidelines while making independent decisions on service standards. Work 40 hours weekly from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Submit valid Wisconsin pharmacist license and CPR certification documentation.
Required Qualifications
- current certification that permits you to practice and provide Pharmacy services in the State of Wisconsin
- valid and current Pharmacist license
- proof of CPR certification
- Familiarization with administrative guidelines of the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, Drug Enforcement Administration, Food and Drug Administration and Bureau of Prisons
- Obtains familiarity of the Bureau of Prison's National Drug Formulary
