Job Summary
Practice pharmacy as a knowledge-based clinical profession on the Med-Surg unit, providing pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Advise staff regarding drug interactions, contraindications, and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Requires a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred; retail pharmacy experience and strong communication skills are also required. Weekend coverage is mandatory.
