Job Summary
Ensure accurate entry of orders, verify technician staff entries for completeness and precision, and check drug packaging and labeling for accuracy. Provide routine and emergency comprehensive drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services to long-term care facilities. Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products if required, while maintaining security of the pharmacy and adhering to DEA and state law regarding controlled substances. Assist in maintaining perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs and follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA. Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation based on business needs. This pharmacist serves as an integral member of the LTC pharmacy team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality within Omnicare's subsidiary of CVS Health.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Nevada
- Must be active & in good standing
- IV Certification or experience
- Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy
