Job Summary
Position involves professional work in the operation of a pharmacy at a state institution. Responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, compounding and dispensing medications, monitoring drug supplies, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy policies. The role requires consulting with physicians, reviewing patient profiles, and supervising pharmacy staff. Qualified candidates should have a valid Oklahoma pharmacy license, extensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals, and at least four years of pharmacist experience.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience as a pharmacist
- Knowledge of prescription drugs and other medications
- Knowledge of procedures for compounding medicines
- Ability to analyze effects of various combinations of drugs
- Ability to establish effective working relationships
Desired Qualifications
- Valid license to practice pharmacy in the State of Oklahoma
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and one year of experience as a pharmacist
- Master’s degree in Pharmacy Administration and two years of experience as a pharmacist
