Job Summary
Supervise staff pharmacists and technicians to ensure daily medication dispensing, IV preparation, and compounding function smoothly. Communicate daily with the Director, Pharmacy Operations to resolve production issues and maintain compliance with state and federal laws. Perform all staff pharmacist responsibilities on the floor at least 75% of the time, including overseeing controlled substances, inventory control, and CII ordering systems. Train newly hired pharmacists, assist with student evaluations, and evaluate workflow processes to implement efficiency improvements. Work collaboratively with functional areas to maintain accurate record keeping and ensure appropriate licensed coverage as required by the Board of Pharmacy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD
- State Pharmacist License required without restrictions
- 5+ years pharmacist experience preferred, preferably in high-volume pharmacy
