Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive pharmaceutical care including medication dispensing, counseling, and patient education while reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, interactions, and appropriate dosing. Support medication therapy management programs by monitoring adherence for chronic conditions such as HIV, PrEP/PEP, hormone therapy, and behavioral health medications. Collaborate with providers to optimize treatment plans, offer clinical guidance on protocols and formularies, and manage pharmacy staff performance through training and formal reviews. Ensure compliance with Arizona Board of Pharmacy requirements, maintain accurate regulatory records, and assist with inventory, controlled substance logs, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy with equivalent experience
- Active Arizona Pharmacist License in good standing
- Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card during background check process
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in clinical, outpatient, or specialty pharmacy
- Experience with HIV care, PrEP/PEP, hormone therapy, or LGBTQ+-affirming healthcare
