Job Summary
Process prescriptions by conducting prospective drug reviews to identify and resolve medication-related problems, ensuring accurate compounding and dispensing. Provide timely drug information to health professionals and patients while collaborating on therapy protocols and documenting interventions. Assist in department management by supervising pharmacy technicians and students, overseeing daily inventory, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations for controlled substances. Participate in performance improvement efforts and maintain a safe, orderly work environment. May triage nightly activities and resolve cross-disciplinary medication issues if serving as the Night Pharmacist.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of PA and/or NY at hire or sit for boards and obtain licensure within 120 days
