Job Summary
Conduct drug utilization reviews to identify and resolve therapy-related concerns while ensuring patients receive the right medication and understand usage instructions. Review and enter prescription orders accurately, verifying data entry for completeness before dispensing. Provide patient counseling and education regarding medications, treatment plans, and adverse events, while assessing responses to therapy and managing inventory to avoid waste. Partner with clinics to clarify prescriptions and document all communications with physicians, nurses, and patients in the patient chart. Perform clinical interventions and participate in on-call schedules as determined by the Pharmacist-In-Charge.
Required Qualifications
- Active pharmacist license in FL, TX, MO, CA, or MI
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy
- 3+ years of mail order, retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Pharm D
- Current state's Pharmacist license
- License at other states as required (FL, TX, MO, CA or MI)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Collaborative, adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Patient-focused commitment to delivering high-quality specialty care
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy and 3+ years of mail order, retail or hospital pharmacy experience OR Pharm D
- Current state's Pharmacist license and license at other states as required (FL, TX, MO, CA or MI)
