Job Summary
Answer routine questions, take accurate messages, and operate the telephone while handling department operations inquiries. Process outpatient and inpatient prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner, providing OTC consults and educating customers on medications. Accurately open, sort, and route mail, monitor inventory, and sustain adequate stock of controlled and non-controlled drugs. Operate the Pyxis system correctly, document drug transactions, and oversee third-party reimbursement consistent with insurance, regulatory agencies, and hospital policy. Requires Kentucky pharmacist licensure and one year of clinical pharmacy experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate from an approved school of pharmacy
- Must be licensed by the state of Kentucky as a pharmacist
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide care according to licensure requirements
- One year working experience in clinical setting as a pharmacist
